About the role
Raventra Health is a medical services company providing outsourced billing, coding, and claims processing solutions for provider groups and hospitals. As a Health Information Management Operations Specialist, you will support the organization, accuracy, and availability of health information used across Raventra Health’s revenue cycle operations. You will coordinate medical records workflows, monitor documentation processes, and work with provider, coding, billing, and compliance teams to ensure information is handled accurately and appropriately.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Coordinate health information management workflows across assigned provider and hospital clients
Monitor the organization, completeness, and availability of medical records and supporting documentation
Review health information processes for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established procedures
Coordinate with provider teams to resolve documentation and record-management issues
Support medical records retrieval for coding, billing, claims, audits, and appeals
Track outstanding documentation requests and ensure timely follow-up
Maintain accurate records and documentation within applicable healthcare information systems
Identify recurring documentation or information management issues and recommend process improvements
Collaborate with coding, billing, compliance, and medical records teams to resolve operational issues
Support internal reviews and audits involving health information and documentation
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
2+ years of experience in Health Information Management, medical records, healthcare administration, or a related healthcare operations role
Strong understanding of medical records, health information workflows, and healthcare documentation
Experience working with electronic health records or health information systems
Knowledge of HIPAA and appropriate handling of protected health information
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify incomplete or inconsistent documentation
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to coordinate multiple requests and deadlines across different teams
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment
HIPAA-compliant private workspace
NICE TO HAVE
RHIT or RHIA certification
Experience with Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or another major electronic health record system
Health Information Management or medical records training
Experience supporting coding, billing, claims, or clinical documentation teams
Experience working with provider groups or hospitals
