If you found this address in your logs, it was us. Jobee is a job search site: we read employers’ own careers pages and job boards so that people can find openings in one place, and we link every posting back to where it came from.
What it reads
Job listings and the pages that link to them, nothing else. It does not fill in forms, does not sign in anywhere, does not follow links behind a login, and does not attempt to get past a challenge of any kind. It identifies itself on every request as JobeeBot/1.0.
How to stop it
Add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: JobeeBot Disallow: /
We read robots.txt before fetching anything, and we treat it as binding rather than advisory: a rule that disallows us stops us, and a robots.txt we cannot read at all is treated as a refusal rather than as permission.
Something else
If a posting of yours is listed and you want it removed, or the crawl rate is a problem, or you would rather send us a feed than have us read your pages — those are all reasonable, and we would rather hear it than be blocked. There is no contact form on this page yet; until there is, the robots.txt rule above takes effect on our next crawl of your site.
