About the role

AppLink in Enterprise Engineering is seeking a System Development Engineer to join our team building Amazon's unified platform for third-party SaaS deployment and lifecycle management at enterprise scale.
We manage 25+ 3P SaaS products, powering 500K+ annual operations for teams including Enterprise Service Delivery, Unified Communications, ITShop, AppSense, and MAX.


Key job responsibilities
* Build scalable, fault-tolerant storage, indexing, and query systems underpinning AppLink's configuration, token management, and usage collection services — designed for high availability and low operational overhead.
* Develop intelligent automation enabling proactive 3P SaaS governance, including StoneGate License Manager (SLiM), License Integration Management Engine (LiME), and HRIS Event Reactor for real-time deprovisioning.
* Deliver 2026 roadmap initiatives including self-service workflow configuration — reducing platform team dependencies and increasing deployment velocity.
* Partner with Security, IT Shop, and Service Management teams to ensure AppLink meets Amazon's security bar, compliance requirements, and operational excellence standards.


About the team
AppLink is a team of 10 engineers and 1 TPM, Dublin-based team with a strong engineering culture — investing in technical depth, career growth, and building systems that eliminate manual effort for hundreds of software owners across Amazon.

Basic qualifications

- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development, or experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language, or experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems

Preferred qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent
