We are looking for a talented transactional attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Devices & Services business. You will work closely with business development, product, and go-to-market teams as counsel on strategic partnership deals across a variety of products, including Appstore distribution deals with major app developers, Fire TV integration deals with third-party device manufacturers, and inbound technology transactions for other Amazon products (such as e-Readers, Tablets, and Alexa products). You will structure, draft, and negotiate a range of agreements, and counsel internal clients on various legal issues related to business operations. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Basic qualifications

- 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in managing and troublshooting network
- 4+ years of experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex software licensing and other technology transactions in support of product development and launch
- Technical background (computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred), with strong knowledge of software and hardware development and design
- Knowledge of the media space, including over-the-top (OTT) video streaming services and business trends
- Ability to work independently while also contributing successfully to cross-functional teams

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
