The OpsTech Solutions (OTS) organization delivers world-class IT services powering Amazon's fulfillment centers and transportation networks across the globe. Within OTS, the Supply Chain organization ensures Amazon operations sites receive the technology equipment they need—on time, every time. Our flagship Rapid Asset Deployment site, RAD1, is the nerve center for IT asset lifecycle management, supporting Amazon's operational network at scale.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and hands-on Process Assistant (PA) to join our Janus Operations team at RAD1 in Antioch, Tennessee. This is a high-impact role where you'll directly support the flow of critical IT assets through inbound receiving, prep, picking, packing, shipping, and PIT operations—ensuring Amazon's sites stay equipped and operational.

Role Overview
As a Process Assistant, you are the connective tissue between our Associates and Area Managers. You'll lead from the floor—coaching, training, and driving daily execution across one or more departments within Janus Operations. This role demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, takes ownership of outcomes, and is passionate about developing people and improving processes.

Location: RAD1 – Antioch, Tennessee
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM(CT) (subject to change based on business needs)
Reports to: Area Manager, Janus Operations

Process Improvement & Safety
- Participate in and contribute to Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement projects
- Review, update, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Identify and escalate safety hazards; coach associates on safe work practices
- Actively participate in safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area
- Support cross-functional coordination with Operations Engineering and Ground Transportation Logistics (GTL) teams as needed

People Leadership
- Lead daily stand-up meetings and communicate priorities, updates, and performance expectations
- Train, coach, and mentor associates on SOPs, best practices, and safety protocols
- Track attendance and provide policy follow-up (responsibilities do not extend to disciplinary action)
- Serve as a floor resource—answering questions, removing barriers, and ensuring associates have what they need to succeed
- Provide real-time feedback to drive individual and team performance

Key job responsibilities
- Support daily department operations including labor allocation, shift planning, job assignments, and production goal attainment
- Fully understand end-to-end workflow across Janus departments (Inbound, Prep, Pick, Pack, Ship, and PIT Operations) and daily production targets
- Fill in with production duties as needed to maintain flow and meet shipping commitments
- Track and report labor hours, UPH (units per hour), and associate performance metrics
- Provide vacation and absence coverage for Area Managers, maintaining operational continuity

Basic qualifications

- 1+ years of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

Preferred qualifications

- Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of lean techniques and Six Sigma tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, or train peers in an operational setting
- Familiarity with IT asset management, inventory systems, or supply chain processes

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
