About the role
AWS Singapore Public Sector is seeking an experienced and results-driven Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of Singapore Government and Statutory Board. You will serve as the primary business owner for a defined set of accounts driving cloud adoption, revenue growth, and strategic partnership at the C-suite and senior-leadership level.
Singapore's public sector is at a pivotal moment: government agencies are accelerating AI adoption, modernising citizen-facing digital services, and expanding mission-critical workloads in the cloud. You will be at the centre of this transformation helping customers unlock value from AWS's breadth of services while navigating the unique procurement, compliance, and governance requirements of the Singapore public sector.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive revenue and market share in the Singapore Public Sector territory by meeting or exceeding targets across government, state-owned enterprises, education verticals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan, including forecasting and a robust sales pipeline.
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services tailored to public sector needs, accelerating customer adoption by working backwards from customer challenges.
- Manage contract negotiations and public procurement processes while developing long-term strategic relationships at the C-suite and ministerial level.
- Work with ISV partners, consulting partners, system integrators, Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and cross-functional teams to extend reach and drive adoption.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, drive expansion within existing accounts, and represent AWS at industry events, conferences, and government forums in Singapore

- Experience in the public sector
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, data analytics, and/or application modernisation and how these technologies apply to public-sector use cases
- Existing relationships within Singapore's public-sector technology community
- Experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) in a sales capacity

Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience- Experience in the public sector
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Preferred qualifications
- Direct experience selling into Singapore Government agencies and statutory boards, familiarity with procurement frameworks (GeBIZ, Bulk Tenders), compliance (IM8), and the Smart Nation ecosystem is highly valued.- Knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, data analytics, and/or application modernisation and how these technologies apply to public-sector use cases
- Existing relationships within Singapore's public-sector technology community
- Experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) in a sales capacity
