About the Client
This is a high-ownership role, not a support or admin function. You'll set the standard for how research gets structured, prioritized, and delivered across a multi-client portfolio, working with significant autonomy and direct visibility into how your work shapes client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the founder's strategic partner across multiple concurrent client engagements — bringing structure, prioritization, and follow-through to a fast-moving, multi-account portfolio
- Lead market and competitive intelligence research (e.g., mapping vendor ecosystems, ranking competitors in fragmented markets), with full citations and transparent sourcing
- Drive synthesis, not just data collection — translate research into clear patterns, trends, and "must-have" recommendations that leadership can act on immediately
- Own pipeline-building efforts: source executive and decision-maker contacts (LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, or equivalent) and draft personalized, research-backed outreach
- Prepare sales and discovery materials — pre-answering key questions ahead of client meetings using public intelligence, and flagging strategic positioning insights
- Build and manage project plans and Gantt charts (Monday.com or comparable) spanning phases, milestones, dependencies, timelines, risks, and KPIs — built for leadership visibility at a glance
- Produce polished competitive teardowns and comparison materials (positioning, differentiators, target verticals, UX walkthroughs, comparison tables) ready for executive and client-facing use
- Bring order and continuity across unrelated client accounts and industries, adapting tone and depth to each without dropping rigor
Requirements
Must-have
- 3+ years in a Chief of Staff, strategic research, competitive intelligence, or senior business/sales analysis role — ideally supporting a founder, executive, or multi-client portfolio
- Strong business English writing; able to independently produce structured, citation-backed, executive-ready reports
- Demonstrated experience sourcing executive/decision-maker contacts (LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, or equivalent)
- Comfortable drafting personalized outreach/cold emails as part of a research or business development deliverable
- Working knowledge of Monday.com or a comparable PM tool (Asana, Smartsheet) for Gantt charts and KPI dashboards
- Track record of multi-source verification and transparent sourcing/citation practices
- High discernment and tenacity — able to operate with minimal oversight and context-switch cleanly across multiple, unrelated client accounts
Nice-to-have
- Prior exposure to legal tech, insurtech, investigations, or litigation consulting sectors
- Familiarity with luxury travel, ground transportation, or corporate meetings & events
- Experience directly supporting sales/BD teams (SDR/BDR-adjacent research background
