Amazon Devices is looking for passionate and creative candidates to join our operations team in Taipei.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop PCB commodity sourcing strategy and execute to best deliver to cost, supply, and innovation targets
• Lead commodity selection, contract negotiation and new supplier introduction process.
• Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology
• Challenges supply chain norms to generate out of the box opportunities for cost savings and supply chain optimization and implements as appropriate
• Develop a commodity roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities
• Manage internal stakeholder relationship in driving component introductions, business alignment, key part selections, demand/supply, etc.
• Participate as a senior member on a cross-functional team (may lead specific projects)
• Meet with stakeholder managers to understand business priorities and translate them into procurement plans.
• Conduct regular business review with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement
• Execute risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operation strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with executives and senior executives at suppliers
• Work closely with Engineering teams to support product development efforts, to influence sourcing decisions, meet customer expectations, technical capabilities, and program objectives; or define standard and custom product requirements.

A day in the life
As a Senior Commodity Manager, your day is a dynamic mix of strategic planning, technical problem-solving, and supplier engagement. You manage technical and commercial sourcing strategy of PCB for multiple programs from pre-concept stages to mass production in collaboration with engineering, NPI operations, legal and suppliers. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to influence design decisions while aligning with technical and business goals. Your role involves negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms, optimizing supply chain processes to reduce lead times and costs, and resolving complex engineering or supply chain challenges. You’ll stay ahead of market trends, pricing dynamics, and technological advancements to refine sourcing strategies, ensuring Amazon remains competitive. Cross-functional leadership is key, as you partner with legal, NPI operations, and planning teams to assess future sourcing needs and develop risk mitigation plans. You’ll also lead supplier evaluations, conduct business reviews to ensure performance meets expectations, and report progress to senior leadership, demonstrating how your strategies drive the success of Ring Devices. Basic qualifications

- 5+ years of related industry experience
- 5+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation

Preferred qualifications

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
- Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)
- Experience working in business procurement organizations of a consumer market segment company
