We are currently looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Finance Professional to join our Amazon Cross Border Business team. This role will own finance partnership on multiple strategic programs to support Amazon’s growth in Emerging Countries (Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey etc.) through Retail Vendor Management Programs. The role will be based in Dubai. The role is broad in scope and will require an individual who is motivated to make an impact on strategic decisions for both long term and short term goal. This role contributes to all controllership functions including financial reporting, planning, control and analysis to service our business customers. This role requires a self-starter with business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, a track record of influencing business partners with data-driven decision making, and the ability to move fast. This role requires close coordination with senior leaders and provides exposure to finance and business partners around the world. Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Senior leadership to evaluate the financial impact of decisions
- Partner with various business and tech teams to become a subject matter expert on systems and outcomes
- Drive continual standardization and streamlining of reporting, planning and forecasting processes
- Root cause analysis and uncover core issues using data, then assisting to develop the improvement plans and create new measures
- Be a steward for maximizing long term free cash flow of investments
- Own end to end P/L management and build financial projections for innovative growth models

About the team
You will be joining a high-performing, fast-paced Finance team whose mission is to be the trusted strategic advisor to the business, driving profitable growth and scale through innovation. This is a highly visible role within the finance team and requires a strong leader and open communicator. You will have a direct impact on our top and bottom line with the ability to deliver improvements for our teams. You will be part of a growing, fast paced, and fun team. You will have ownership for the implementation of your work and you will see direct business improvements based on the results of your work.

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 4+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred qualifications

- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
