About the role

Our team is looking for a Research Strategist to help execute research strategy, working closely in a collaborative environment. You will deliver actionable insights that guide decisions as we create engaging and customer-focused experiences for Amazon employees.


Key job responsibilities
• Lead research initiatives that align with business strategy using behavioral science research methods and experimental design
• Design and execute research studies using optimal quantitative and qualitative methods
• Manage the complete research lifecycle from proposals and methodology design to participant screening, session moderation, analysis, and insight delivery
• Communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and organizational levels
• Help partner teams identify the most relevant research questions
• Deliver focused, actionable research insights to support PXT executives in strategic decision making
• Collaborate with design, product management, economists, and scientists to develop innovative end-to-end solutions for top outcomes


About the team
The Central Science Team within Amazon's People Experience and Technology organization (PXTCS) uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, and machine learning to improve Amazon processes while enhancing Amazonians' well-being and work value. Our interdisciplinary team combines science, research, human-centered design, and engineering to develop solutions that measurably achieve this goal.

Basic qualifications

- 3+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience
- Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
- Experience in leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact
- Experience (end to end) with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
- Experience with lab-based user testing, remote testing, iterative prototype testing, survey design, and usage of multiple methods within a study
- Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)

Preferred qualifications

- Master's degree in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology
- Knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics
- Experience conducting and applying research in a global context
- Experience working in a highly Agile/Scrum environment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
