Partner Development Specialist, Data, Amazon Partner Organization
AWS India - Haryana · Mumbai, India · Business/Merchant Development
Full-time
About the role
Are you passionate about building a thriving partner ecosystem that helps customers unlock the full potential of their data? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Data Partner Development Specialist (PDS) to join our India Amazon Partner Organization (APO) team. In this role, you will be the partner-facing authority on AWS Data and Analytics services — including Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR, AWS Glue, Amazon MSK and Amazon S3 Vectors — driving partner capability development, co-sell execution, and go-to-market (GTM) scale across the India market.
As a Data PDS, you will work directly with consulting, technology, and ISV partners to build differentiated data practices and offerings on AWS. You will enable partners to solve complex customer data challenges — from petabyte-scale data lakes and real-time streaming pipelines to enterprise data warehouse modernization — and drive measurable customer outcomes through partner-led and partner-attached motions. You will collaborate with AWS account teams, specialist SAs, services leadership, and partner programs to accelerate partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, increase partner attach rates, and shape the future of the AWS data partner ecosystem in India.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary partner development lead for AWS Data and Analytics services across consulting, technology, and ISV partners in India.
- Identify, recruit, and develop partners with strong data capabilities, enabling them to build scalable practices around AWS data lake, data warehouse, streaming, and analytics services.
- Drive partner-sourced and partner-attached pipeline by co-developing GTM plans, joint value propositions, and co-sell motions with priority partners.
- Enable partners through technical readiness programs — including workshops, bootcamps, proof-of-concept (PoC) frameworks, and certification drives — to deepen their AWS data competencies.
- Collaborate with AWS Specialist SAs, account teams, and services teams to identify customer opportunities where partner engagement accelerates time-to-launch and improves outcomes especially with the AI team.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with strategic data partners, tracking key metrics such as partner attach rate, launched ARR, and customer impact.
- Work with AWS Partner Programs (e.g., competency programs, funding mechanisms, AWS Marketplace) to help partners access the right development and GTM support levers.
- Provide partner and field feedback to AWS product teams to influence service roadmaps and drive feature adoption relevant to the India partner ecosystem.
- Support competitive positioning by equipping partners with differentiation narratives against on-premises and third-party analytics platforms.
- Deliver thought leadership through partner summits, blog posts, case studies, and community engagement to elevate the AWS data partner brand in India.
- 10+ years of experience in partner development, business development, alliance management, or channel sales in the technology/cloud industry.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling partner practices or GTM motions in the data, analytics, or AI/ML domain.
- Strong understanding of data architectures — data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming, and analytics platforms. Good understanding of how data is the foundation to an Agentic AI paradigm.
- Experience managing joint business plans, partner pipeline, and co-sell execution with measurable revenue outcomes.
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
