Role Overview

As a Product Manager II, you drive key product objectives for HCP’s Recurring Jobs and Service Plans product area, helping Pros build lasting customer relationships and generate more predictable revenue for their businesses. You identify and prioritize opportunities that make it easier for Pros to create, sell, manage, bill for, and deliver recurring services.

As a Product Manager II, you partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Product Marketing, and Product Operations to lead product work from customer discovery and strategy through launch, measurement, and iteration. You translate customer and business insights into a focused roadmap, define meaningful measures of success, and balance customer experience, commercial outcomes, and technical considerations. You bring strong product judgment and experience with payments, subscription billing, service plans, memberships, or recurring and loyalty products to solve complex customer problems and independently drive cross-functional work forward.

Our team is passionate, empathetic, hard working, and above all else focused on improving the lives of our service professionals (our Pros). Our success is their success.

  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, Product Marketing, and Product Operations to develop, validate, and refine compelling solutions
  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering to define product requirements, user flows, technical considerations, and tradeoffs
  • Drive product execution from planning through launch, measurement, learning, and ongoing iteration
  • Communicate product direction, priorities, decisions, insights, and tradeoffs clearly to cross-functional stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a closely related product discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with payments, subscription billing, service plans, memberships, or recurring and loyalty products
  • Experience with product analytics, experimentation, and customer engagement tools (i.e. Amplitude, Segment, Braze, LaunchDarkly)
  • Strong knowledge of Product Management methodologies, user experience (UX) principles, product discovery, experimentation, and agile development practices
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive complex cross-functional product work from discovery and requirements definition through launch and iteration
  • Understanding of recurring billing and subscription lifecycle considerations such as billing experiences, plan management, customer retention, and ongoing service relationships
  • Ability to consistently work Eastern Time hours to support collaboration with the squad and cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve workflows, streamline execution, or enhance outputs

What will help you succeed:

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to quickly learn new customer, product, and technical domains
  • Deep customer empathy and strong instincts for creating intuitive user experiences
  • Ability to move between product strategy and hands-on execution while effectively navigating competing priorities and ambiguity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of using customer research, product data, and business insights to inform decisions
