Sr Financial Analyst, NAS - Inventory Operations & Controllership

About the role

Finance partner supporting the Inventory Management pillar with a focus on controllership — tracking what happened, quantifying P&L impact, validating savings delivery, and producing recurring reporting for leadership. Owns the operational cadence of inventory financial reporting including monthly flash, QBR data preparation, savings tracking, and partner team input validation. Works closely with 10+ cross-functional partner teams to ensure inventory defect programs are accurately reflected in financial results.

Key job responsibilities
- Own recurring inventory financial reporting including WD8/WD10 flash, monthly commentary, and P&L variance analysis for inventory-related cost lines
- Track savings delivery across inventory defect programs by validating inputs from partner teams, applying approved methodologies, and reconciling to P&L actuals
- Partner with Operations, Overstock Inventory Handling (OIH), and Retail category teams to gather inputs and ensure consistent methodology application
- Maintain and refresh inventory balance reports, aging analysis, and high-risk inventory profiles
- Support the Inventory Management Lead with ad hoc financial analyses and deep dives
- Own QBR, OP, and MBR deliverables

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred qualifications

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
