In this role, you'll guide a team of 40 Solutions Architects to deliver transformational outcomes for financial services customers, helping them navigate complex technical challenges while building innovative cloud solutions at scale.

You'll represent AWS in the UK and Ireland, working directly with customers and partners to accelerate their cloud adoption journeys. This is more than a management role, you'll be instrumental in growing the business, elevating the technical bar, and influencing how AWS services evolve based on real customer needs. Key job responsibilities
Lead, develop, and scale a team of 40 Solutions Architects, establishing mechanisms to audit customer experience quality and operational performance while building succession plans for long-term organizational sustainability.
Drive bar-raising customer outcomes and business transformation in financial services, partnering with customers to architect and implement cloud solutions that address significantly complex technical and business challenges.
Represent AWS in the local market by building and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, influencing business priorities and growth initiatives.
Provide strategic management by aligning team priorities to organizational goals, establishing scalable processes for execution, and creating mechanisms to identify gaps, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
Partner with product teams to evolve AWS services based on customer feedback from financial services engagements, leveraging technical depth to influence service roadmaps and innovation priorities.

A day in the life
Your days are dynamic and multifaceted. You'll spend time meeting with financial services customers and partners, diving deep into their technical architectures and business objectives to ensure your team delivers transformational solutions. You'll provide internal leadership by coaching your Solutions Architects through complex customer engagements, removing blockers, and creating the right mechanisms for your team to operate independently. You'll also collaborate with AWS service teams to advocate for customer needs, helping shape product roadmaps based on insights from the field.

You'll lead a team of 40 Solutions Architects dedicated to empowering financial services customers to innovate and transform their businesses through cloud technology. Our team operates at the forefront of cloud adoption, working with some of the most sophisticated enterprises to solve their most challenging technical problems. Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking

Preferred qualifications

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
