The Opportunity:

As our first account manager, you’re a key member of our team in Australia, you'll grow business by deepening client relationships. You'll own a portfolio of clients, uncover new opportunities in their supply chains, and be part of a high-growth team with a strong focus on tech-driven culture, performance, and career development, with the opportunity to shape Flexport's presence in the region.
What You’ll Do:
- Take ownership of business growth within your portfolio. Do this by upselling and cross-selling Flexport's supply chain and tech products
- Understand clients' business goals, the industry, and Flexport's services to proactively close and deliver new solutions that deepen client relationships. Do this by meeting with and continuously run discovery conversations with client
- Serve as the client's trusted advisor, advocating for their needs internally and finding win-win solutions for both the client and Flexport
- Run regular client touch points and business reviews to demonstrate value, uncover new opportunities, and drive retention. Do this on-site and online
- Work cross-functionally across Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Implementation, and Trade & Financial Services teams to execute client strategy that maximises outcomes
- Proactively monitor client health to catch opportunities early and keep both client and business goals on track
- Champion product adoption by mastering the Flexport platform and showing clients how to get the most out of it
What You'll Need
- Experience: At least 5 years in sales, account management, or supply chain operations
- Domain Expertise: A background in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain is highly preferred
- Mindset: A client-service mindset — genuinely obsessed with client outcomes — and the courage to challenge the status quo
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills across all channels, with strong organisational discipline and problem-solving ability. A challenger at heart that will become a trusted advisor to our clients
- Execution: Strategic vision combined with hands-on, ground floor execution
- Bonus: Experience with retail, electronics, or tech verticals, global team collaboration, and AI adoption are all strong pluses
