About the role

Amazon Fresh team is looking for a bright, customer-obsessed, data-driven candidate with vendor negotiation, analytical and organizational skills. You will play a key role in helping us achieve our growth objectives by delivering a step change in performance for our Grocery business, improving the customer offer, expanding product selection and deepening relationships with some of our largest suppliers in Italy. We expect the VM to be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven ability to negotiate complex business terms, develop and manage relationships, drive results and demonstrate competency with business and financial analytics. The VM must be an effective leader and communicator in working with some of Amazon’s most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.

The candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to deliver successful results. You must be a team player, be comfortable with ambiguity, communicate persuasively and be able to influence internal and external stakeholders of all levels. Great communication skills and understanding of Excel will be essential to your success.

Onboarding new vendors and ensuring their growth all along the year.
Manage a portfolio of vendors to drive growth and improve profitability.
Analyze sales and key metrics to identify business opportunities.
Provide recommendations to improve sales, margin and ASP.
Manage and build comprehensive selection through strong vendor relationships.
Monitor and research industry and competitive trends.
Liaise with vendors and other operational departments to resolve product or supply-chain queries swiftly and accurately.
Drive process improvements to enable scalable growth.

Basic qualifications

- Master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- Experience in analytical tasks or projects, working with data
- Experience in e-commerce, retail or advertising
- Experience managing or influencing senior stakeholders in a commercial or client-facing context
- Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Italian and English at C1 level or above
- Bias for action and results oriented mentality, combined with ability to work in a demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is a must
- Ability to solve problems with creative ideas and innovation

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.

Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.

In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
