Sr Contract Onboarding Specialist, AWS Billing Contract Onboarding

Amazon Web Services, Inc. · Seattle, WA · Sales Operations Job Family

Full-timeSenior

About the role

AWS Billing Contract Onboarding is looking for a technical leader who thrives on solving complex operational problems and delivering exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert on contract onboarding — owning end-to-end execution of complex workflows, influencing the team's roadmap, and driving process improvements that directly impact how quickly and accurately customers get up and running on AWS. You'll bring deep operations experience and a strong understanding of how AI and automation can transform operational workflows at scale. You'll lead through expertise, not hierarchy: mentoring peers, partnering across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering, and setting the bar for operational excellence. If you love diving deep into details, untangling root causes, and leveraging AI to build smarter, more scalable solutions — this is your role.

Key job responsibilities
Own and execute complex contract onboarding workflows end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a seamless customer experience
Serve as the subject matter expert on onboarding processes, tools, and policies — the person peers and partners turn to for guidance
Apply AI and automation knowledge to identify opportunities for streamlining operations, reducing manual effort, and improving accuracy across onboarding workflows
Influence the team's roadmap by identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and driving consensus on approaches that meet business needs
Dive deep into customer onboarding metrics, prioritize root cause resolution, and champion enhancements and automation that raise the bar
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering teams to resolve bottlenecks and improve the onboarding experience
Bring proven experience working within operations organizations to drive structure, rigor, and scalable processes
Mentor and coach teammates, share knowledge, and help elevate the team's collective capability
Identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring SLAs are met and results are delivered consistently
Drive process improvements and operational excellence by optimizing workflows and establishing best practices
Communicate findings, recommendations, and decisions clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners
Champion an inclusive team culture built on empathy, active listening, and collaboration

A day in the life
Your day starts with reviewing your onboarding queue — prioritizing cases, resolving data discrepancies, and ensuring customers are set up accurately and on time. You'll partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering to unblock complex contracts and drive process improvements. You'll analyze onboarding metrics, spot trends, and identify where AI or automation can eliminate manual work and reduce errors. Teammates come to you with questions — you're a mentor and sounding board who raises the bar for the whole team. Every day, you're thinking about how to make tomorrow's process better than today's.
