Partner Solutions Architect , ANZ-PS

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd · Sydney, NSW, Australia · Solution Architect

Full-time

About the role

As a Partner Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you’ll build technical relationships with partners of all sizes. You'll operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring a great partner experience with AWS and most importantly, for our customers.

You’ll manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our partners, helping them to support our customers by making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate our customer’s challenging, mission-critical projects. Internally, you are the voice of the partner, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features and partner program improvements. In this role, your creative thinking will link technology to solutions. You will help partners deliver on our shared goal to transform the experience of citizens who interact with all levels of Government, Education and Health.

You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts). You'll evangelise and educate partners about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meet-ups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences).

If you can educate AWS customers and partners about the art of the possible, while challenging the impossible, come build the future with us. As a public sector Solutions Architect within AWS, you can help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS cloud services across our partners and within strategic customers.

A day in the life
Solutions Architects are part of the sales organisation. They meet with partners to understand their business and technical challenges, crafting solutions that leverage AWS products and services. To position the best solutions with partners, a portion of their time is dedicated to learning and experimentation with the latest technologies.

About the team
Solutions Architects are technical “thought leaders” who evangelise emerging technologies on a conceptual and practical level. Our SAs play a critical role in the adoption and advancement of cloud computing capabilities within the public sector. They think outside the box to provide solutions that are cost-effective, time-saving, and secure. As an SA, you’ll solve problems at both the mission and technical levels by working backwards from partner requirements.
