About the role
Amazon is seeking a Sr. Tax Analyst to join our Personal Property Tax compliance team. This individual will be a key member of the team and will have exposure to Amazon’s various business activities including data centers, fulfillment/distribution centers, logistics, administrative offices, and multiple subsidiaries across the United States.
Key job responsibilities
- Preparation of all workpapers and support for Amazon’s Personal Property Tax audits
- Collaboration with taxing jurisdictions through full audit cycle
- Obtaining and reviewing value notices for both personal and real property tax portfolios
- Assisting team with the property tax payments and returns
- Assisting with the maintenance and enhancement of the personal property tax database
- Updating and maintaining internal property tax process documents
- Identifying areas for improvement within assigned role and responsibilities
- Supporting internal reporting and other tax projects and initiatives as directed by management
- Creating and maintaining GenAI workflows to improve processes

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience with multi-state, multi-entity corporate structures
- Experience with property tax related software such as ITAM or PTMS

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
