Sr. Business Development Manager, Automotive OEM, Automotive
Amazon.com Services LLC · Seattle, WA · Business/Merchant Development
Full-timeSenior
About the role
The US Automotive team is looking for a Sr. Business Development Manager to build and grow Amazon's business with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), the companies that build the vehicles our customers own. The Sr. BD Manager OEM will own the OEM relationship roadmap, with clear goals to increase the OEM selection available to our customers and grow the revenue that selection delivers. The Sr. BD Manager OEM will get there by recruiting OEMs into strategic business relationships with Amazon, developing the sourcing paths that bring OEM parts and accessories to customers at scale, and growing the network of dealers and dealer groups that sell and fulfill them.
This role is built for someone who is comfortable without an established path, moves from insight to action quickly, and can influence senior stakeholders inside Amazon and OEM's leadership. The Sr. BD Manager OEM builds strong one-to-one relationships with senior external counterparts and sustains them over long deal cycles. They also lead negotiations from first conversation to signed agreement and can point to what those agreements delivered for the business. Above all, the Sr. BD Manager OEM leads with a customer-centric mindset and a bias for building solutions that scale.
Key job responsibilities
-Own revenue and selection growth for the OEM business, translating performance trends into clear actions that deliver against annual and multi-year goals.
-Identify, prioritize, and recruit OEMs into strategic partnerships with Amazon, focusing on the brands that represent the largest share of the vehicles our customers own.
-Negotiate and close commercial agreements covering selection, pricing, brand authorization, product data requirements, marketing, and fulfillment.
-Build and own senior relationships across OEM parts, accessories, e-commerce, and dealer network organizations, and maintain them through long deal cycles.
-Develop distributor relationships that provide access to OEM selection where a direct partnership is not yet available, and maintain more than one sourcing route to key brands.
-Recruit dealerships and dealer groups as selling partners, and work with OEMs and internal seller support teams to fund and scale their enablement.
-Work through the requirements that govern who can list OEM selection, including brand authorization, reseller status, and listing eligibility, and improve dealer readiness to sell online.
-Represent Automotive in cross-Amazon engagement with OEMs, connecting parts and accessories to vehicle sales, advertising, cloud services, and business and fleet purchasing.
- Experience building and owning senior-level relationships with external partners
- Experience navigating regulatory, compliance, or brand protection requirements
- Experience applying AI or automation tools to solve business problems
