The Opportunity
What happens when data, AI, and great engineering come together to solve problems at Adobe's scale?
Adobe is looking for a Director of Solution Engineering to help answer that question.
This team works at the intersection of business strategy, software engineering, digital experiences, data, and AI. The challenges are complex, the opportunities are significant, and the impact reaches across Adobe. From helping leaders explore new opportunities to building capabilities that become part of how teams work every day, the work is varied, collaborative, and deeply rewarding.
In this role, you'll lead a team focused on transforming ideas into solutions that can be reused across the company. You'll help shape how Adobe approaches data, automation, and AI while working alongside talented leaders in Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Platform organizations.
Just as importantly, you'll help build an environment where people can learn, grow, take ownership, and do meaningful work. If you enjoy developing leaders, solving difficult challenges, and influencing how technology enables business success, we'd love to talk.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a team of managers, architects, and solution engineers who help Adobe solve complex business and technology challenges.
- Partner with leaders across Adobe to understand opportunities, define priorities, and identify where data can create meaningful impact.
- Work with teams to transform business needs into data products, services, and capabilities that can be adopted and reused across the company.
- Help shape trusted data foundations that make information easier to discover, understand, and use.
- Guide the creation of AI-enabled and data-driven experiences that improve how teams work and make decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, and Platform teams to bring ideas from concept to adoption.
- Encourage practical, thoughtful use of AI, automation, and modern engineering approaches that help teams spend more time innovating and less time on repetitive work.
- Establish solution patterns, reference implementations, and best practices that help teams move faster while maintaining quality.
- Support the growth of future leaders through coaching, mentorship, feedback, and career development.
- Foster an inclusive environment where people feel empowered to contribute, experiment, learn, and succeed.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, product development, data and analytics, consulting, or related technology fields.
- Experience leading technical teams, including managers and senior individual contributors.
- A strong foundation engineering principles, system design, and modern development practices.
- Experience working with mobile applications, client-side technologies, SDKs, instrumentation frameworks, digital experiences, or event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with the full journey of data, from client instrumentation and event collection through reporting, analytics, automation, and AI experiences.
- Experience helping teams navigate ambiguity, align around shared goals, and deliver results in complex environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust across technical and non-technical audiences.
- A passion for coaching others and helping teams grow.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to learn.
Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience is welcomed.
