Strategic Demand Gen Rep, Strategic Accounts

Amazon Web Services, Inc. · Seattle, WA · Tech Sales

Full-time

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for AI-native sales talent to join our Strategic Demand Generation team. This is not a traditional BDR role. You will be joining a team that treats AI as a core multiplier for pipeline creation, not a nice-to-have. If you are already using AI tools to research accounts, personalize outreach, automate workflows, and build your own solutions, we want to talk.
As a Strategic DG Representative, you will self-source pipeline across AWS's largest and most complex accounts. You will cover multiple business units (Compute, Storage, Database, AI/ML, Security) and engage senior technical and business decision-makers. You will partner closely with Strategic Account Managers and Solutions Architects to identify whitespace, qualify opportunities, and drive early-stage pipeline that converts.
This team is centrally located in Seattle and supports global Strategic Accounts.

Key job responsibilities
• Self-source pipeline using AI-powered research and outbound. You identify signals, build prospecting sequences, and personalize at scale using generative AI tools. You don't wait for campaigns to hand you leads.
• Understand the AI landscape. You know the difference between generative AI and agentic AI. You can speak credibly to customers exploring both and connect their use cases to AWS services.
• Operate as a builder, not just a user. You are vibe coding on the side. You use AI assistants in your daily workflow. You experiment with new tools, automate repetitive tasks, and bring a technical curiosity to everything you do.
• Run a disciplined sales process. Intelligent prospecting persistence. Clear qualification. Clean handoffs. You manage pipeline with precision using Salesforce and internal tools.
• Coordinate across business units. Strategic Accounts have complex buying groups. You will navigate multiple stakeholders across 5+ AWS service areas to identify and create opportunities.
Your success will be measured by self-sourced pipeline generation, opportunity qualification rate, and contribution to launched revenue.

Basic qualifications

- Experience navigating prospective accounts from and into a senior executive level to identify new customer opportunities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of existing and developing technologies

Preferred qualifications

- Sales or equivalent certification
- Experience using Salesforce
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
