Sr. Technical Program Manager, Worldwide Global Selling
Amazon (China) Holding Company Limited · Shanghai, China · Technical Program Management
Full-timeSenior
About the role
Worldwide Global Selling (WWGS) is Amazon's platform helping businesses of all sizes expand globally across 19+ international marketplaces. The WWGS Tech team is the engineering and AI engine behind this mission, building the tools, platforms, and AI-native experiences that empower Amazon's Account Management teams and enable China-based sellers to grow worldwide.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the planning, coordination, and delivery of our most complex and high-impact technology programs. This role sits at the intersection of AI/GenAI product development, cross-functional engineering delivery, and executive program governance, supporting a portfolio that spans AI-powered seller and AM tools, knowledge management platforms, supply chain optimization systems, and global CRM technology.
You will work closely with software development teams in Beijing and Shanghai, partner with product and business stakeholders across WWGS, and represent program health to senior and executive leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings deep technical fluency to program conversations, and knows how to translate complexity into clarity, both for engineering teams and for C-suite audiences.
Key job responsibilities
* Own end-to-end program management for WWGS Tech's AI and platform initiatives, including roadmap planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, risk mitigation, and delivery accountability across multiple concurrent programs.
* Drive structured program governance across a diverse portfolio of AI-powered tools, seller growth platforms, knowledge management systems, and supply chain technology products.
* Coordinate across cross-functional teams (Software Development, Product Management, Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Business stakeholders) to align priorities, resolve blockers, and ensure on-time delivery against roadmap commitments.
* Build and maintain program plans, milestone trackers, risk registers, and executive-level status communications; provide real-time visibility into program health for senior leadership.
* Lead intake, scoping, and prioritization processes for technology investments across WWGS business teams; ensure feasibility and resource alignment before execution begins.
* Translate complex technical concepts and program status into clear, actionable communications for senior and executive audiences; represent WWGS Tech in cross-org planning forums and OP planning cycles.
* Partner with engineering leads and SDMs to develop and improve team-level operating mechanisms, including sprint rhythms, program reviews, escalation paths, and retrospectives.
* Support headcount planning, vendor/partner coordination, and cross-team scope alignment as the team scales with new AI initiatives and organizational growth.
