About Wonderly
Wonderly is a closed-loop, end-to-end system that self-improves on our customers’ revenue. We serve the home service industry ($1.3T), and can consistently double a new customer’s revenue within 90 days. We make all of our AI and software completely free - and only get paid when our customers make real money. We’re here helping real small businesses make a life, pay for their children’s college tuition, and live the American dream.
Pre-AI SaaS sold tools. AI companies claim they sell outcomes - task done, call answered, lead booked, ticket resolved - but calls or leads aren’t the outcomes that ultimately matter. Revenue is what ultimately matters, and today, none of the AI companies actually promise revenue. Wonderly changes that.
Our 70-person team (mostly in PDE) spent over a year building in stealth; our thesis is that - if you actually want to control the end result (revenue) of a business and deploy AI fast/cheaply, you can’t just build the sexy part (agents), you must also build the unsexy parts and own everything end to end: the system of record layer and the application layer. We built from scratch every software a home service business needs - replacing ServiceTitan, Squarespace, Ringcentral, Jobber, Square, Hubspot, and a dozen others applications. And we built every agent necessary - AI marketing, AI receptionist, AI voice, AI sales outreach, AI sales coaching, AI follow-ups, AI 3D design, AI finance, AI quoting, AI collections, and more - all embedded inside our own system with native data access. As a result, we can deploy dozens of production-ready Agents to our customers in under 24 hours with no FDEs, no integrations, and no data cleaning work.
We are the most outcome driven business model in the business because we’ve proven our system and AI Agents actually work in driving the end result - revenue. We are not trying to sell our customers a dream - each of our 10+ core AI Agents help improve our customers’ revenue by 5-20%.
Wonderly already has PMF and has gone from 0 → 1 (we are happy to share more over a call), with very clear moat and deep industry knowledge that took a team of 70 hardcore A-players 18 months to build (we are at least 2 years ahead of anyone else in the space). We believe Wonderly has the potential to be a $100B - $1T outcome. The market is massive: home service businesses across North America (a $1.3T market). We’ve raised over $50M from top-tier investors, have $20M a year in free cashflow from another product line (Motion), and all that money gets pumped into Wonderly.
About the Hiring Managers
Hi, we’re Chander and Harry, Wonderly’s CTO and CEO.
You’ll report directly to one of us. We’re looking for someone we can trust to own the operational details that keep Wonderly running—from getting the numbers right to working through a vendor contract or fixing a broken process.
You don’t need to have seen every problem before. You do need to ask good questions, exercise sound judgment, and follow through. As you build context and earn trust, you’ll take on more ownership across the business.
The Role
We’re hiring someone to own the financial and business operations behind Wonderly.
Accounting is roughly a third of the role. You’ll make sure vendors get paid correctly, coordinate month-end close with our external accountants, and keep tax requirements and financial systems organized. The rest spans contracts, procurement, insurance, equity administration, and the operational problems that come with a growing company.
We want someone with an accounting foundation who wants broad business ownership. You should be comfortable investigating an unfamiliar charge, working through a vendor renewal, coordinating with outside counsel, and building a process so the same issue is easier next time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Accounting operations: Validate invoices, collect vendor documentation, coordinate approvals, and schedule payments.
Month-end close: Keep close notes, provide supporting information to our accountants, investigate discrepancies, and flag unusual transactions.
Tax coordination: Keep filings, registrations, notices, and year-end reporting moving with our external providers.
Financial systems: Maintain tools such as Stripe, Subscript, Hubifi, and QuickBooks as the business changes.
Contracts and procurement: Coordinate agreements with business owners and counsel, negotiate vendor terms, and track commitments and renewals.
Corporate operations: Manage insurance renewals, routine equity administration, corporate records, registrations, and incoming notices.
Process improvement: Document recurring work, establish clear owners and deadlines, and work with our internal team to automate repetitive tasks.
You’ll have recurring responsibilities and unexpected problems. You’re accountable for closing the loop on both.
What Makes This Role Different
You’ll work directly with our CTO or CEO and see how decisions get made across the company.
Your accounting knowledge will give you a starting point, but your scope will extend across finance, legal, procurement, and corporate operations. You’ll work with accountants, lawyers, brokers, vendors, and internal teams—and be responsible for making sure work gets finished.
You’ll also have room to improve how the company operates. When something takes ten manual steps, we want you to question it, understand the constraints, and help build a better system.
As you become someone the company trusts with increasingly complex problems, your responsibilities can grow with you.
Backgrounds That Tend to Work
People from these backgrounds could thrive here:
Accounting or finance operations at a fast-growing startup.
Public accounting with hands-on exposure to startup clients.
Business operations roles with meaningful accounting responsibilities.
A broad operational role where you owned payments, contracts, compliance coordination, or financial systems.
What matters more than the resume:
You understand invoices, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.
You’re meticulous with money, records, and deadlines.
You investigate discrepancies and bring back answers.
You keep work moving when several people or outside providers are involved.
You know when to make a decision and when to involve a specialist.
You’re comfortable learning unfamiliar systems and handling ambiguous problems.
You want to use your accounting foundation across a broader business role.
Strong spreadsheet skills are expected. Experience with QuickBooks, Stripe, Brex, Carta, or similar tools is useful.
Expectations
60–70 hour weeks
Take ownership of meaningful recurring responsibilities within your first few weeks.
Keep payments, filings, renewals, and other obligations organized and on schedule.
Give our external accountants and other specialists complete information and timely answers.
Raise problems early, with enough context to make a decision.
Handle confidential financial, employee, and company information carefully.
Use data, AI tools, and automation to make your work more reliable and less manual.
Be hands-on. Sometimes the job is improving a system; sometimes it’s calling a vendor and getting an issue resolved.
Expect your scope to evolve as the company grows.
Compensation
$100,000–$170,000 total compensation (base + equity), depending on experience.
Remote in the US or Canada, with regular in-person gatherings.
