  • Platform & E-Commerce Mastery: Provides strategic oversight for complex web projects built on platforms like Shopify and Adobe Commerce, as well as interactive frameworks like , and familiarity with HTML, CSS, JS. The CX Director does not need to be a developer, but must understand the differences, benefits, and challenges between these frameworks as they affect design mandates.
  • Quality & Standards: Enforces strict visual consistency, micro-interactions, motion design standards, and universal accessibility standards (WCAG) across all deliverables.
  • AI Integration & Optimization: Continuously monitors AI advancements and emerging tools to optimize design team efficiency, integrating new technologies into daily workflows and creative direction.

2. Team Leadership & Operations

  • Direct Management & Mentorship: Leads, mentors, and grows a multidisciplinary team of UX and UI designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, autonomy, and craftsmanship.
  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Oversees effort estimation, project allocation, capacity forecasting, and workload balancing to hit deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Budget & Process Optimization: Collaborates with project management to track creative budgets, eliminate delivery bottlenecks, and continuously refine internal design processes.

3. Strategic Client Relationships & Business Growth

  • Sales & Pitching: Plays a leading role in proposals and new business pitches, articulating bold creative concepts, technical viability, and design ROI to win key accounts.
  • Client Advisory & Feedback Leadership: Leads high-level strategic discussions with executive stakeholders, translating business goals into exceptional digital strategies and expertly guiding client feedback iterations.
  • UX Value Advocacy: Demonstrates and communicates the business impact of human-centered design, user research, and strategic UI/UX to both internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years in digital design (agency environment preferred), with a proven track record in a creative leadership or executive role.
  • UI & Front-End Background: Expert-level UI design skills backed by practical experience in front-end development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React.js).

  • Client & Pitching Excellence: Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to distill complex problems into compelling client-facing strategies.
