Sr. Program Manager, Product Safety and Compliance team

Amazon Middle East and North Africa FZ-LLC - F52 · Dubai, United Arab Emirates · Risk Family

Full-timeSenior

About the role

We are looking for a talented Senior Product Safety and Compliance Manager to help shape how product safety is managed across Africa, the Middle East, and Türkiye (AMET). You will own the regional product safety risk position, deciding how Amazon's safety policies apply to the specific risks and regulations of our region.

You will work with stakeholder teams including Selling Partner, Business, Legal, Customer Service, and Technology, and represent Amazon directly to regulatory authorities across the region. You will assess high-risk product categories, evaluate product test results, and apply the right mix of controls to reduce safety risk precisely, protecting customers while enabling the business to grow. You will bring together regional risk judgment, localization, and regulatory engagement to build and own the programs that make product safety work end to end across AMET stores.

Key job responsibilities
- Own regional product safety risk and ensure regulatory requirements are met across Amazon's supply and customer operations in the AMET region.
- Lead efforts to review and localize validation processes for newly onboarded, highly regulated products.
- Collaborate with external regulatory authorities and design schemes to ensure product safety across AMET Amazon stores.
- Drive resolution of product safety issues raised through customer complaints, customer reviews, internal follow-up actions, and product recall requests from external bodies.
- Design, implement, and maintain product safety processes that interface with cross-functional teams and use classification and restriction databases.
- Assess regional risk and apply proportionate risk-reduction measures for high-risk product categories.
- Work effectively across functions and leverage available resources as the Amazon business grows.
- Based in Dubai, UAE. Fluency in Arabic and English required.

A day in the life
Your main job is making sure the products customers buy from us across the region are safe and meet local rules. You will dig into product categories that carry higher risk, work through safety signals, and decide what needs to happen to protect customers without slowing the business down. You will do this with our selling partner, legal, business, and technology teams, and you will sit across the table from regulators, so being comfortable in both Arabic and English matters.

About the team
Our team makes sure every product customers buy across Africa, the Middle East, and Türkiye is safe, meets local legal requirements, and lives up to what shoppers expect. We work shoulder to shoulder with retail, operations, legal, and technology partners, and we bring product and risk expertise together with regulatory insight to solve safety problems before they reach customers. Our mission is to support Amazon's goal of offering the widest possible selection while keeping unsafe and non-compliant products out of our stores. You will join a collaborative, fast-moving team that plays a highly visible role in protecting customers across the region.
