About the role
The Director, People Systems will own the strategy, architecture, and ongoing evolution of ClickHouse’s global people systems ecosystem, with Workday at its core. This role will serve as the senior subject matter expert and strategic partner for People systems, ensuring our technology, data, and processes scale with the organization.
This is a highly hands-on leadership role with significant ownership and autonomy. While the role will not initially have direct reports, the Director will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage external partners, establish systems governance, and influence People technology decisions across the organization.
What you will do:
Own the global People Systems strategy and roadmap, with Workday serving as the core HR platform
Lead the design, configuration, optimization, and ongoing evolution of Workday across modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking
Establish systems architecture, governance, security, data integrity, and change management standards across the People technology ecosystem
Partner with People, Finance, IT, Security, and business leaders to translate organizational needs into scalable technology solutions
Lead Workday releases, enhancements, integrations, testing, and adoption of new functionality
Own the strategy and governance for integrations between Workday and other internal and external systems
Drive the evolution of People data, reporting, and analytics capabilities to support business and workforce decision-making
Evaluate the People technology landscape and recommend investments, enhancements, and consolidation opportunities
Identify and implement opportunities for automation and AI to improve People processes, data quality, and employee experience
Manage external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners and ensure effective delivery against business priorities
Establish scalable processes and documentation that support a growing global organization
Serve as the senior escalation point and subject matter expert for complex People Systems issues
What you bring along:
10+ years of experience in HRIS / People Systems, with significant ownership of Workday in a complex or global organization
Deep Workday expertise and experience leading or playing a significant leadership role in at least one full-cycle Workday implementation
Strong understanding of Workday architecture, configuration, integrations, security, reporting, and data governance
Experience developing and executing a People Systems strategy and roadmap
Experience scaling People technology within a high-growth, global organization
Strong understanding of HR processes and the intersection between People, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT systems
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
Strong vendor and implementation-partner management experience
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, particularly while building out the People Systems function

Experience across multiple Workday modules
Experience with additional People systems such as Ashby, Culture Amp, Enboarder, or similar platforms
Experience building reporting and People analytics capabilities
Experience applying AI and automation to People systems and operational workflows
