Prime Video is transforming how audiences discover and engage with content across the globe, and we're looking for a strategic finance partner to help shape investment decisions that will define the future of streaming in one of our most dynamic markets.

Prime Video Australia brings together Amazon Originals, licensed TV and movies, live sports, Prime Video Store, and Channels into a single entertainment destination. As the business continues to expand across content, advertising, and commercial offerings, finance is a key partner in balancing customer experience, long-term growth, and financial performance.

In this role, you'll go beyond traditional financial analysis. You'll partner directly with business leaders across Content, Marketing, and Commercial teams to evaluate investments, influence priorities, and support Prime Video's expansion into Marketplace, advertising, and sports. This is an opportunity to simplify decision-making through data, improve financial performance, and develop into a finance leader with increasing scope and impact.

This role is based for 5 days at our Sydney CBD corporate office.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate investment proposals across content, marketing, and commercial initiatives, building business cases that influence strategic priorities and resource allocation
- Design and maintain financial models to analyze customer and financial performance, simulate scenarios, and deliver data-driven insights that shape long-term strategy
- Lead financial planning processes including Operating Plan, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Monthly Business Reviews, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
- Present recommendations and financial narratives to senior leadership, articulating complex finance topics with clarity and the right level of detail to enable informed decision-making
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Content, Marketing, Product, Commercial, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to identify opportunities for growth, drive process improvements, and deliver sustainable business outcomes

Basic qualifications

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred qualifications

- 7+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 7+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CMA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
