We are looking for a dynamic HR leader to join our team and support Amazon's Business and Corporate Development (BCD) organization. The BCD team focuses on growing Amazon's businesses in a variety of ways – from corporate development (aka mergers, acquisitions, and investments; notable acquisitions include MGM Studios, Whole Foods, and One Medical) to corporate development integration (supporting acquisitions from end-to-end) to corporate business development (which manages Amazon's most complex and high-impact partnerships) and Amazon Fuse (a partner marketing channel that acquires incremental Amazon customers globally via third-party partnerships). As the Principal, HR Business Partner, you will support the head of the BCD organization for Amazon, along with executive leaders across the organization and be responsible for driving both strategy and execution across focus areas such as organizational health, effectiveness, and design; talent development; inclusion (and more!). You will also work closely with our internal partners and international HRBPs to drive broad, global goals for the organization.

We are seeking someone who can effectively interact with business leaders at all levels, possesses excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and works effectively across a global footprint. Whether coaching your clients on leading their teams, navigating and resolving organizational effectiveness issues or developing innovative solutions and programs to deliver results for our business, you will be the champion of Amazon's culture and values, partnering with your team and clients to help them build customer obsessed solutions. This role will also work closely with other HR resources and teams to drive key initiatives and projects in areas such as such as global organization design, executive coaching, workforce planning and leadership development. You will be able to adeptly influence senior leaders and stakeholders, with strong communication and exemplary confidence and credibility.

Key job responsibilities
Partner with senior leaders and their teams to develop talent strategy that develops the next generation of cross-Amazon leaders Serve as a thought partner to key leaders Engage in strategic planning meetings that translate business needs into people plans Partner with business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, location strategy Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, etc. Work with managers and employees to respond to employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience as an HR Business Partner or experience in an HR functional area including, but not limited HRP, HR services, or recruiting

Preferred qualifications

- Experience leading and influencing your team or organization
- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
- Experience analyzing data to make business decisions
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Experience in project and program management and delivering key business outcomes
- Experience working with global teams, driving organizational change initiatives, and developing talent management plans for a global organization
- 10+ years of senior leadership development and talent management experience
- Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience managing teams
- Experience in a highly agile environment
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Master's degree or above
- Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
