About the role
Amazon Australia is seeking an experienced Corporate PR professional to lead our B2B communications portfolio, spanning Amazon Ads, Amazon Business, and Seller Services across Australia.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract role.
In this position, you will partner closely with business teams and global communications stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of Amazon's products, technology, and services among B2B audiences. You'll develop and execute announcement-driven and evergreen storytelling strategies, manage ongoing media relations, support and amplify key events, and provide executive and stakeholder communications counsel.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic communicator with a passion for storytelling, deep knowledge of the Australian media landscape and a genuine enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position requires full-time in-office presence 5 days per week at our Sydney CBD location.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive proactive storytelling across earned and owned media channels to elevate Amazon's B2B brand in Australia
• Manage executive speaking engagements, social media presence, and media engagement
• Provide strategic PR counsel and communications support to senior business leaders
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key media contacts across the Australian landscape
• Stay current on industry trends, issues, and breaking news to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, business units, and international stakeholders to deliver integrated communications
• Successfully navigate complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with composure and sound judgment
- Demonstrated experience driving comprehensive earned and owned content strategies
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with exceptional media relations capabilities
- Customer-obsessed mindset with high judgment and the ability to work to the highest standards under tight deadlines
- Proven track record of earning trust from both internal and external stakeholders
- Storytelling experience tailored to B2B audiences, with the ability to translate complex business narratives into compelling media coverage
- Deep knowledge of the Australian media landscape
- Experience navigating fast-paced, dynamic environments with composure and sound judgment

- 7+ years of proven professional B2B communications or public relations experience- Demonstrated experience driving comprehensive earned and owned content strategies
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with exceptional media relations capabilities
- Customer-obsessed mindset with high judgment and the ability to work to the highest standards under tight deadlines
- Proven track record of earning trust from both internal and external stakeholders
- Storytelling experience tailored to B2B audiences, with the ability to translate complex business narratives into compelling media coverage
