Principal Corp BD, Corporate Business Development
Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. · Mexico City, Mexico · Business/Merchant Development
Full-timePrincipal
About the role
Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Corporate Business Development group, focused on driving strategic partnerships across Amazon's businesses in Latin America with primary focus in MX. This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized team that manages strategic partnerships across all Amazon businesses. As a Corporate Business Development (CorpBD) Leader you will be responsible for generating, executing, and managing some of Amazon's most complex and high-impact strategic partnership activities in Latin America. This includes leading deal negotiations which are non-standard in their construct and complexity, require a centralized advocate, and have broader implications to Amazon. You will interact with senior leaders across multiple Amazon businesses
This key role will be highly visible at the most senior levels of Amazon. You will need to work collaboratively with internal management teams across geographies to define strategies, determine where our relative advantages or risks lie, and provide thought leadership on longer-term trends in innovation and customer adoption across Latin America. We dive deep and provide thoughtful technical and market analysis, but are adaptable and action-oriented, focused on quickly gaining enough context to enable informed decision-making. Identifying and executing strategic partnerships that accelerate Amazon's growth in Mexico and Brazil is our primary objective.
The CorpBD Leader will be responsible for designing partnership strategies that span Amazon's full portfolio of businesses in Mexico and Brazil — including Retail, Marketplace, Payments, Operations, Logistics, and emerging business units. Working closely with CorpBD leadership and in-country business executives, this individual will identify and execute strategic partnerships that create significant leverage across multiple business lines.
We are seeking an innovative, creative, analytical, and strategic thinker who is passionate about Amazon's growth in Latin America. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who enjoys solving complex problems across diverse business lines and markets, works effectively with senior cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, and thrives in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop transformative commercial strategies that drive significant business impact through Amazon's relationships with leading regional and global partners across LatAm.
- Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage complex and high-profile partnerships that enable new and valuable customer experiences across Amazon's businesses in the region.

- Act as a trusted advisor and consultant to executives running Amazon's businesses in LatAm, providing market intelligence, strategic options, and partnership recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level and senior executives at partner organizations in the region.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting, Public Policy, and senior management to structure and execute partnerships.
- Navigate complex regulatory environments and partner ecosystems unique to LatAm.
- Remove barriers and create ease for customer transactions across the region.
